With 15 years of experience practicing technology law, almost entirely as in-house counsel, Paul prides himself on being practical, responsive, business-minded, and customer-focused. Paul blends his commercial-first approach with expertise across a wide range of subject matter areas, including tech transactions, data protection, product counseling, general corporate, employment, and intellectual property.
Paul's Background
Having begun his formal legal career in the Corporate & Business group at HinckleyAllen, a client-driven, forward-thinking law firm, Paul leveraged his business and technology experience into an in-house counsel role at athenahealth, Inc., a health IT company headquartered outside Boston. He then broadened his practice significantly by joining Brightcove, Inc., an online video platform provider headquartered in Boston. As an in-house generalist attorney, Paul eventually assumed responsibility for the Legal team and function globally at Salsify, Inc., a product experience management (PXM) SaaS platform provider.
Paul earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, cum laude, and also his MBA from Suffolk University, receiving the Highest Honors Graduate award for the highest GPA in the MBA/JD program. Paul earned his B.A. in Political Science from Vassar College, where he was a three-sport NCAA athlete (soccer, squash, lacrosse) who served as captain of the men’s soccer team his senior year, was named to the All-Conference Team, and received conference All-Academic Team honors.
Prior to attending law school and business school, Paul was a professional athlete, having played soccer in the Jamaican National Premier League, before taking on a key technology role at WilmerHale, a top global law firm.

Paul lives with his family outside Boston. When not working, Paul maintains an active lifestyle.
Paul enjoys lifting weights, practicing yoga, walking the beach, golfing, writing standup comedy, and listening to a wide range of music and podcasts.
